- DVD firmware key extraction
- This post covers extracting the DVD drive firmware, and key, from an Xbox 360 using Jungle Flasher. I extract the firmware using household items that I already owned instead of buying an expensive flashing device.
- Heatsink options, cooling upgrades
- This post covers the heatsinks that the fat Xbox 360 consoles shipped with, and how they compare. I discuss upgrading both the CPU and GPU heatsinks to the best revisions to improve system temperatures and noise.
- Installing a PC heatsink
- This post covers replacing the stock Xbox 360 heatsink with a PC heatsink. I used the stock Xenon heatsink’s copper base along with thermal adhesive and a Cooler Master Hyper TX3. Temperatures and noise levels improve significantly.

- My goal with this project is to keep my Xbox One well maintained. I may eventually go into more complicated mods, but for now I’m planning on doing things like replacing thermal paste, and fixing any other problems as they happen.

- I ran a blog called ZL Studios from 2008 to 2013. It contained consumer electronics news and reviews, and tutorials.
Future Projects
These are projects that I am planning to start working on in the future.
- Transistor computer
- I want to build a basic computer out of transistors, or maybe basic logic gates to save time. TheĀ goal is to have something that is expandable so that I could build an OS on top of it, video output, and maybe even networking support.
- Other console projects
- I want to mod other consoles.
